Dr. Zhang was awarded an NIGMS grant as a research project leader of the Arkansas Integrated Metabolic Research Center (AIMRC), an NIH-designated Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE). In this project, we will investigate the bioenergetics of tumor cell clustering! Congrats!

Our paper entitled "Cellular Energy Cycle Mediates an Advection-Like Forward Cell Flow to Support Collective Invasion" was accepted by the journal Advanced Science, where we described a novel energy-driven mechanism of the morphological flow of cells important for cancer collective invasion and many more! Undergraduate student Logan Waddle from the Zhang Lab is a co-author of this paper! Congrats!
